Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026

OliVista Art Studio ("we", "us") runs olivistart.com, where parents and guardians browse art classes, enroll their children, and manage their family's account. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the studio, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address, and profile photo that Google sends us when you approve the sign-in - we never see your Google password.

Student information. To run classes we keep the details you enter for each student: name, date of birth or age group, and anything you choose to tell us that helps us teach safely, such as allergies or emergency contacts.

Enrollments and payments. We keep a record of the classes your family enrolls in, attendance, and the payments made. Payments are processed by Stripe; your full card details go to Stripe and never touch our systems.

Artwork photos. Photos of student artwork you upload are stored so your family can view them in the account area.

Sign-in codes. When you use an emailed sign-in code we keep just enough to verify that single sign-in; codes expire after 15 minutes.

How we use information

We use your information to manage enrollments and attendance, take payments through Stripe, email you class-related updates (such as confirmations, schedule changes, and studio news for enrolled families), keep students safe during class, and maintain your family's account. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google sign-in

When you choose "Sign in with Google", Google asks you to approve sharing your name, email address, and profile photo with this site. You can revoke that permission at any time from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking only unlinks future sign-ins; if you would like your data here removed too, contact us and we will delete it.

Who processes data for us

We run the site on a small set of trusted providers: Butterbase (hosting, database, and sign-in accounts), Stripe (payments), and Google (optional Google sign-in). These providers process data only to deliver their services for the studio. We don't share your personal information with anyone else except when the law requires it.

Children's privacy

OliVista Art Studio teaches children, but accounts are created and managed by parents and guardians. We ask for student information only from a parent or guardian, and we use it only for teaching and class administration. If you believe a child's data was provided without a parent or guardian's consent, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

You can view and update your family's details by logging in to your account. To correct or delete anything you cannot change yourself - or to delete your account entirely - email us at olivistastudio@gmail.com and we will take care of it. If you no longer want studio emails, reply to any message and ask to be removed.

How long we keep data

We keep account and enrollment records while your family is enrolled or your account is active, and delete them on request. Payment records may be retained where needed for accounting or legal obligations.

Security

Accounts are protected by platform-managed authentication (email codes, passwords, or Google sign-in), and student records are restricted so only your family's account and studio staff can see them. No system is perfect, but we keep access to personal data limited to what the studio needs to operate.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
